The upcoming 3D-video game "Yooka-Laylee" is a spiritual successor of "Banjo-Kazooie". The game is Developed by Playtonic-games and published by Linux, MacOS, Microsoft Window, Playstation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. The main theme of "Yooka-Laylee" has a little similarity with "Banjo-Kazooie", along with the fact that it's also a collection and exploration type of game.

| (Playtonic Games/Youtube Screenshot)Playtonic has developed the new 3D-platform game “Yooka-Laylee”. Divided into five different themed worlds, the game “Yooka-Laylee” is really exciting to play. |
According to Polygon, the adventure begins when Yooka, the big heroic lizard and its companion Laylee, the bat suspect that the book they are using as a furniture, owns a great power. The book has golden pages, called Pagies and it can rewrite the fabric of the Universe. Unfortunately and comically, the plot is changed when the book's Pagies are snatched by a bumble-bee named as Capital B. Then to rescue the Pagies, Yooka and Laylee enter into the Capital B's building.
In the next plot, the hub area, hivory Towers split into five unique and vibrant themed worlds, full of activities and diversions. All the activities are mainly designed for collecting the Pagies. There are also many variations in collecting currency and powerups. Many interesting facts are included in "Yooka-Laylee" like double jumps, flight, ground pound etc. Yooka has a power to assume the properties of objects and Laylee is blessed with sonar ray power to unlock invisible things. Along with the special powers of the lizard and the bat, its support barrier facility pleases us.
Though "Yooka-Laylee" surprises us with various puzzles and cool features, lack of clarity or smoothness of the game somehow destroys the excitement. According to US Gamer, it's really lucky that we can play any level of the game at any time we want, but it's also very disappointing that the duo Yooka and Laylee's movement is uncontrollable. Especially frustrating when at the puzzle-solving time, if we lose control over the duo even for a bit due to lack of clarity, we will fail and the game forces us to restart again. Another dispute of "Yooka-Laylee" is that anyone can easily get lost in the game's plot due to the absence of any map or compass.
The Playtonic Kickstarter-funded "Yooka-Laylee" gives us a thrilling fifteen to twenty hours' with the game. Colorful levels, vibrant textures, funny characters, challenges, puzzles, smart and exciting level designs can easily engage the game lovers. But the camera issues, bland activities and a very small number of levels are holding back "Yooka-Laylee" from reaching the top position.
The camera's focus is really annoying because it always tries to focus in its own way. In "Banjo-Kazooie", anyone could feel the smoothness of movement, while in "Yooka-Laylee" the movement is collapsed by the camera's fault. It also has framerate issues and it pauses unexpectedly sometimes during the game. Apart from all the drawbacks, if you are still finding it as Banjo-Kazooie's true successor, you can go for "Yooka-Laylee". Problems which make "Yooka-Laylee" a little annoying, can easily be solved. We expect Playtonic will make "Yooka-Laylee", an exciting, refreshing and time engaging game.
